Founded by a group of friends with a mutual love of great beer, this humble tapas bar and lounge is a must-visit when in Macau.

The brews:

At any given time, Wolfpack boasts a rotating beer list of around 40 choices, largely consisting of lagers and IPAs. They host tap takeovers occasionally, most recently teaming up with Taiwanese microbrewery Le Blé d’Or. We go light and easy with a Vale Lager ($68), followed by a SteamworksPilsner ($68).

The bites:

We first try the classics. Their roasted chorizo ($48) and ibéricoham croquette ($88) feature generous portions and heavy flavours that don’t disappoint. In a fun twist, their tempura prawns ($118)are deep-fried in Asahi, adding a whisper of hoppiness to the dish. Surprisingly, what stands out most is the marinated eggplant salad ($68), a delightfully appetising choice served with lightly toasted baguette slices.

The short:

Staff are friendly and service is efficient. As a bonus, they’ve just launched their happy hour with buy-one-get-one-free for many of the bottled beers. Yay!
